What is the difference between memory care and assisted living?
Assisted living helps residents with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, meals and medications. Memory care adds a secure setting, more supervision and structured routines designed for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
How do I know if my loved one needs memory care?
Common signs include getting lost or wandering, missed or doubled medications, skipped meals, safety worries at home like a stove left on, more confusion or agitation in the late afternoon and evening, pulling away from friends and hobbies, and a family caregiver who can no longer keep up. If your loved one mainly needs help with daily tasks and memory loss is not the main concern, assisted living may be the better fit. A conversation with your loved one’s doctor and a visit with our team can help you decide.
How many residents live at Forget Me Not?
Forget Me Not is a boutique home with just 16 beds. A small setting helps residents with dementia feel calm, reduces overstimulation and lets staff know each person well.
Can families visit anytime?
Yes. Family is always welcome, with no visiting restrictions and no limited hours. Join us for meals and activities or spend quiet time together.
How much does memory care cost, and how can families pay?
Memory care usually costs more than assisted living because residents need more supervision and hands-on support. Forget Me Not charges one all-inclusive monthly rate with no add-on fees for meals, activities, housekeeping or laundry. We accept ALI payment, VA benefits, private insurance and private pay.
